As a Republican, I believe in fiscal responsibility and that the government has an obligation to its taxpayers to be prudent with their money.  Governor Schweitzer has failed to meet that obligation.

Over the past three years, Governor Schweitzer has shown that he believes big government is better than letting me keep more of my paycheck.  Since he took office, the governor has increased spending by over 40 percent—all at the expense of Montana taxpayers like me.  I’m tired of having to pay excessive property and income taxes to make up for the governor’s excessive spending.

Enough is enough.  It is time that we put a real fiscal conservative in the Governor’s office who knows how to be responsible with our tax dollars who understands that in the end, it is normal Montanans like me who have to fit the bill.
